Description

The Falanghina dei Campi Flegrei is a vine of Greek origin, still cultivated on a free foot, thanks to the territory of volcanic origin and a favorable ecosystem. The vine, supported by a pole - Phalange - from which it takes its name, offers tapered bunches that reach a golden color when ripe.

Profumo

Perfume

Presents fresh but intensely delicate notes: vegetable, before, in surface and that faint memory of sage, Mediterranean scrub, green pepper. The fruit arrives at a later time: yellow peaches and not too ripe pineapples, and then mineral salts. Sapidity decided in the reverberations of the volcanic soil.

Colore

Color

Straw yellow with golden reflections.

From the subtle tongue of the Fields of Flegrei, a place enchanted north of the Gulf of Naples, Vincenzo Di Meo gives style lessons on the interpretation of Falanghina and Piedirosso.

To give a hand to the young oenologist the precious volcanic composition of the soil rich in ash and lapilli, which has allowed for more than eighty years to fortify and repair from phylloxera, and the established family wine-growing tradition begun three generations ago.

We have to wait another year to re-fertilize Marsiliano and white Domus Giulii, wines belonging to the line dedicated to amber and oenological research.
