Description

Since 1300, Tenuta Castiglioni has been the emblem of the Frescobaldi family's winemaking tradition. Here began the production of wines linked to the Tuscan territory, appreciated in the 1500s at the Papal Household and the English Court of Henry VIII.

Harvest The freshly harvested grapes are destemmed and fermented. Light pumpovers are carried out regularly in temperature-controlled steel vats.
Wine making Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, malolactic fermentation takes place, and the wine begins ageing in barriques for a 12-month period, during which its various colours, aromas and tastes develops in typically perfect harmony.
