Chateau Lilian Ladouys is a still red wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation, awarded the Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel classification. This harmonious blend combines Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties. In the glass, it displays an intense red colour with violet highlights, revealing a fresh and complex profile. On the nose, aromas of blackcurrant, plum and blackberry emerge, well integrated with clear notes of incense and toasted hazelnut. On the palate, it expresses a deep body, supported by balanced acidity and powerful yet silky tannins, finishing with a long aromatic persistence enriched by hints of violet and pepper.

Where it comes from

The grapes that make up this wine come from an ancient estate whose origins date back to the sixteenth century. The vineyards stretch south of the Saint-Estèphe area, embracing varied terroirs that lend remarkable depth to the final product. Chateau Lilian Ladouys cultivates its vines following strict organic and sustainable farming practices, in full respect of the Bordeaux wine landscape. These optimal soil and climate conditions, along with careful soil management, give the wine excellent ageing potential, allowing it to evolve in the cellar for up to fifteen years.

How it is produced

The production process aims to enhance the aromatic and structural profile without ever weighing down the drinking experience. After the blend is vinified, the wine matures in oak barrels, an essential stage that enriches the flavour profile with smoky notes, hints of tobacco and spices, blending the tannic structure into a harmonious whole. To highlight the density of the material and the fruity nuances, a one-hour decanting is recommended. Served at a temperature between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius, it proves the ideal choice to accompany grilled red meats, flavourful dishes in sauce and generous boards of mature cheeses.
