Description

What type of wine it is

The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Rive di Soligo Extra Brut sparkling wine from Biancavigna stands out for its dry profile and lively perlage. This wine from Veneto is born from a harmonious blend of Glera, Perera and Verdiso grapes and is produced using the Charmat Method, offering a brilliant straw-yellow colour with green highlights in the glass. The aromatic bouquet reveals clear hints of green apple, pear, pineapple and apricot, enriched by delicate floral nuances and notes of flint. On the palate, the tasting is creamy and energetic, supported by a marked mineral vein and a vibrant acidity that leads to a clean and persistent almondy finish, ideal for accompanying raw seafood and fresh cheeses.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine comes to life among the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, within the prestigious Rive di Soligo area in Veneto. The vineyards are located in the San Gallo area, at an altitude of approximately 380 metres, in a territory characterised by extreme slopes reaching seventy percent. This context requires rigorous heroic viticulture, managed entirely through manual interventions. The clay-limestone and stony soils convey a deep territorial imprint to the wine. The Rive designation identifies a limited production, capable of reflecting the characteristics of steep and sunny terrains, delivering a distinct gustatory tension and a clear structure in the glass.

How it is produced

The production process begins with a meticulous manual harvest, followed by soft pressing and static settling of the must. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, while the second fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks following the Charmat Method. Here, the wine rests in contact with the yeast for a long period of 150 days: this prolonged ageing on the fine lees gives the sparkling wine remarkable creaminess and structural finesse. After cold stabilisation, the wine completes its journey with a final refinement of three months, reaching the ideal balance for tasting.

History and trivia

A product of Biancavigna's heroic viticulture, this sparkling wine originates from the steep hills of San Gallo, where gradients of 70% require meticulous, entirely manual work. From these historic vineyards, an exclusive Prosecco Superiore DOCG comes to life, its uniqueness enhanced by a skilful secondary fermentation of one hundred and fifty days on the lees. This artisanal dedication results in a glass of extraordinary elegance and prestige, crowned by the prestigious Tre Bicchieri Gambero Rosso award.
