Torre Fornello

Heading the Torre Fornello winery since 1991, Enrico Sgorbati has created a very heterogeneous range of wines, the result of painstaking work aimed at maximum varietal and territorial expression. We are in Val Tidone, one of the four valleys in which the denomination of the Colli Piacentini extends, so the wines of the local tradition cannot miss the appeal, above all the Gutturnio. The version presented this year, the 2009 Reserve of the Diacono label Gerardo 1028, celebrates the perfect union between Barbera and Bonarda, ennobled by a long evolution in barrique. A particular note of merit we want to discuss in favor of the sparkling production of the house; the three sparkling wines offered for tasting, strictly Classic Method, are striking, each with its own characteristics, for its ability to execute, expressiveness and elegance.
