Tenute Sa Conca

On his return from the front, after the end of the Great War in 1919, Loe realised his life's dream. He planted, at 'Sa Conca' in Berchidda (OT), a small vineyard on the land where he had spent his youth. A life of unspeakable sacrifices that the years spent on the battlefields had risked making in vain. That land, continually lashed by the wind and studded with granite rock, proved to be the ideal place for growing Vermentino in just a few years.

A generous man, Loe loved to let all his friends taste that wine, straw-coloured and with fruity aromas, whose fame soon reached the neighbouring villages. Soon all the most important occasions, such as weddings or the birth of a child, were graced by Loe's Vermentino.

His sons continued the production of this unparalleled wine in the following decades, without ever starting a commercial activity.

In that ideal land for the cultivation of vines, at the end of the 1990s, the third and fourth generations of these authentic pioneers extended the surface area of the original vineyard and began to produce, using state-of-the-art techniques, a Vermentino among the most elegant and refined that the land of Gallura can offer today.
