Michel Laval

The story of the Laval family begins around 1870 when Jules, our great-great-grandfather, inherits 40 acres of farmland and decides to cultivate grapes with the help of his son Jules, nicknamed Lucien.

A few years later, in 1948, our grandparents Roger and Fabienne (Lucien's daughter) decided in turn to develop the family business by starting to produce their own Champagne. This was a symbolic turning point for the future of the Laval family, as they wanted to be able to taste their harvest, the fruit of their hard work. Roger will never stop searching and exploring the rich and diversified terroir of Boursault to create champagnes with true identities.

Michel, our father and son of Roger and Fabienne, embraced his destiny by creating his own brand "Champagne Michel Laval" in 1979, thus perpetuating the values of our Family while modernizing the cultivation practices of the vineyard and the work of the soil.
