Louis Casters

The history of the Domaine Louis Casters begins in 1857 with the birth in Damery of Eugène Cadel: grown up in a family of winemakers for generations, Eugène in adulthood became owner of the family vineyards, making himself appreciated for the qualities of fine taster and entrepreneurial skills . In 1921 his place in the company was taken by his son René Filaine who continued to produce champagne along the path traced by his father. In 1944 Eugène's niece, Marguerite, settled in Damery with her husband Louis Casters, founding the eponymous brand: her son Jean-Louis will receive the inheritance, which was transferred to Johan, Clara and Margaux. A long family history, therefore, in perpetual symbiosis between respect for tradition and adherence to the most modern technologies.
