Les Varinelles

In 1890, Louis Daheuiller, the son of a tenant farmer, began to produce wine from his 4 hectares of vines. When his son Jean returned from the capital, Louis gave him a few plots of land so that he could try his hand at wine. Jean fell in love with the vineyard and took over from his father with greater ambition. In 1957, the Saumur-Champigny appellation was created in Varrains, and he was one of the founders. It is with Claude, the third generation, that the estate continues to grow, the newspapers say that he waters the Parisian restaurants with his champigny, prestigious establishments like the Pavillon Elysée. Laurent, in turn, has contributed to the family edifice by perpetuating the estate and taking the time to develop new cuvées that are now emblematic. He ensures the transmission of the Daheuiller know-how to his son, Nicolas.
