The dobogò winery was founded in 1869 right in the centre of the small town of Tokaj. Dobogò literally means "clippity clop", the sound horses hooves made on the cobblestones as the carts passed by on their way back from the vineyards.
Today, Dobogò is a small family run winery renowed for its very small quantity of stellar wines and for the capacity to marry tokaj's centuries of heritage and tradition with a young, fresh, original approach.
