Batzella

The winery is located on the central Tuscan coast, founded in 2000 by Khanh Nguyen and Franco Batzella. The Bolgheri area is enchanting, surrounded as it is by rolling hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its soil and micro climate allow the Cabernet varieties, now indigenous to Bolgheri, to reach full maturity and produce wines that can be distinctively original.

For us, wine is first and foremost made in the vineyard with the best grapes possible. The Cabernets in Bolgheri are capable of yielding great wines of character that are profoundly linked to the soil and climate of the territory from which they originate, wines that are not at all standardised and globalised, but offer that original elegance with an unrepeatable Mediterranean expression that distinguishes them from their Atlantic cousins in Bordeaux.
