Barbacan

Barbacàn is Angelo Sega and sons Luca and Matteo. We harvest chiavennasca and other ancient Valtellina grape varieties from 6 hectares of vineyard on terraced slopes in San Giacomo di Teglio.

We are farmers in the Alps, preserving the pluralism of our ancient native grape varieties and the cultural identity of traditional agronomic practices.

We believe in a natural viticulture in which man and his knowledge are at the service of the land. Without pretense or artifice we accompany our healthy, living grapes by leaving room for spontaneous fermentations.
