Profumo

Perfume

The vibrant bouquet offers up scents of orange, lime zest, beautiful slate minerality, citrus blossoms and a touch of wild yeasts in the upper register.

Gusto

Taste

On the palate, it's perfectly ripe golden apples and white flowers with a little bit of residual sugar and wonderful acidity to precisely balance it, making it very elegant and charming. The slately minerality picks up again on the finish with good length.

Serve at:

10 - 12 °C.

It's good by itself but it is also great with a mixed variety of asian foods such as bugolgi tacos, lumpia, pork belly buns and grilled pork and pork pate banh mi.

The estate is located in the commune of Bernkasel-Graach in the Mosel wine-growing region in Germany. It is owned by Willi e Christoph Schaefer. The vineyard area totals three hectares, with holdings in the top-rated Graacher Domprobst and Himmelreich sites, as well as in the Wehlener Sonnenuhr site. The area is planted exclusively with Riesling. Most of the wines are fermented with natural yeasts in traditional 1000-litre oak barrels, and then matured in these same barrels. The estate is a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikats- und Qualitäts-Weingüter) association. Read more
