Description

Alto Adige DOC still white wine, 13% vol., produced by Cantina Tramin. 100% Pinot Grigio. 0.75 l bottle, 2024 vintage. A Pinot Grigio born from the passion of a historic winery, founded in 1898, which has made Gewürztraminer its flagship. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and placed in small containers to preserve their integrity, then immediately subjected to soft pressing. The subsequent vinification takes place in small steel tanks at a controlled temperature (19°C) with partial malolactic fermentation. Aged in small steel tanks. Floral and fruity notes reminiscent of peach and pear. Straw yellow. Its flavor is delicate, fruity, pleasantly soft and fresh, perfect as an aperitif or with light dishes.

In a time of hardship for Alto Adige’s wine producers, Christian Schrott, parish priest of Tramin and later Member of the Austrian Parliament, founded our cooperative in 1898 in order to protect the livelihood and future of the wine producers from this mountain area. Thanks to the strength of this union, Cantina Tramin has become one of Alto Adige’s most respected cooperatives and an example recognized all over the world.

Today, we are 160 families tending approximately 270 hectares of vineyards. We pride ourselves on the fact that each bottle is the quintessence of our philosophy of life and work: accuracy, commitment, trust and creativity.
