Description

A still red from Lazio, a 2024 Benedic produced by the Trappist Monastery of Vitorchiano. A wine born from the passion and dedication of the Trappist monks, following the Rule of Saint Benedict. A wine that tells the story of a monastic community that has been evangelizing and promoting the development of Europe since the sixth century. On the nose, aromas of red fruits are complemented by spicy notes. The color is ruby red. On the palate, the wine is fresh and pleasant, inviting you to savor it.

From this winery
We are a community of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance (better known as the Trappist Order) and we belong to that monastic movement which, from the sixth century, following the Rule of St Benedict, evangelised and promoted the development of the whole of Europe. The Cistercian Order was born in 1098, in Cîteaux (France), where some monks from Molesme (a Benedictine abbey) wanted to build a new monastery to strive to live the Rule of St. Benedict with more authenticity and purity. S. Robert, St Alberic and St Stephen were its founders and first abbots. Read more
