Description

The Montepulciano Marina Cvetic is the spearhead of the line designed by Gianni Masciarelli's wife, and represents the faithful expression of one of the historical vines of Abruzzo, whose magnitude can not ignore the strong link with its roots. Produced since 1997, this wine provides a blend of Montepulciano grapes in purity, from eight municipalities of three different provinces, with altitudes ranging from 200 to 400 meters above sea level. Vinified in a traditional blunt, the Montepulciano Marina Cvetic expresses the fundamental characteristics of the starting variety, with fruity and floral in perfect balance, followed by a long finish with notes of cocoa beans.

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole was established in 1981 from the entrepreneurial intuition of Gianni Masciarelli, a symbol of Italian wine and protagonist of the success of modern wine production in Abruzzo. The beating heart of the winery is in San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, and includes vineyards and olive groves, in all 4 provinces of Abruzzo.

Wine production – while also having a small production of extra virgin olive oil – now has 22 labels and seven product lines: Classic Line, Gianni Masciarelli, Villa Gemma, Marina Cvetic and Castello di Semivicoli. Villa Gemma, Iskra, Marina Cvetic, Castello di Semivicoli, Gianni Masciarelli, Linea Classica e La Botte di Gianni.

In the constant and renewed work for innovation, but with respect for the environment and tradition, Masciarelli inaugurated, after a long restoration, Castello di Semivicoli, a seventeenth-century baronial mansion, which is now a Relais de Charme in the vineyards, a driving force of wine tourism in the area.
