Description
Franciacorta Rosè Demi Sec was the first sparkling wine to be awarded the Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG) designation in Italy. This type of sparkling wine is made from Franciacorta grapes grown in the province of Brescia, in the La Montina vineyards located in the area between the Sebino morainic amphitheater (which gives the wine its unique sensory characteristics) and Lake Iseo. The blend is composed of Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir (60%), both of which are harvested strictly by hand. Like other Franciacorta sparkling wines, Rosè Demi Sec is also distinguished by its strong personality, due to the dosage of liqueur added after disgorgement. Franciacorta Rosè Demi Sec is a sparkling wine with a high sugar content. This sweet rosé sparkling wine, produced using the classic method, is made with a high percentage of Pinot Noir grapes left to rest on their skins, thus enhancing both their color and aroma. This special rosé sparkling wine is obtained through two different pressing processes. The first pressing takes place using a Marmonier vertical press; this is a rather gentle pressing that allows the grapes to retain their important organoleptic qualities. The second pressing is performed using the more well-known pneumatic presses. This demi-sec rosé sparkling wine is then aged on the lees in the bottle for a period of no less than 24 months.

Their father, Fioravante Antonio (known as Fiore), with hands stained with the typical color of winemakers, had always worked the vineyards and produced red wine. Their mother, Vittoria Gaia (known as Gina), managed her own Osteria in the heart of Monticelli Brusati, the ancestral village of the entire family.
Today, the values of the Bozza family are also preserved by their grandchildren Michele, Daniele, and Anna, who interpret them with respect and sensitivity to the challenges of modern times. Read more
