Description

It all started 20 years ago in Irpinia with a vision: to express the full potential of the best indigenous grapes from Campania and take it to a new horizon never before explored, that of the Metodo Classico. To achieve this ambition, we collaborated with a Champagne expert - Anselme Selosse, who was amazed by what Greco and Aglianico had to offer: an incredible minerality` and freshness, perfect for creating excellent sparkling wines. Situated in the mountains, with heavy rainfall, snowfall and wind, and characterised by volcanic soils, Irpinia is not the typical Southern Italy, it is in many ways an unexpected place. DUBL [pronounced as it is spelled] is a universe inspired by design and architecture. The bottles were designed by the best of Italian design: Massimo Vignelli (DUBL Edition) & Fabio Novembre (DUBL Esse). DUBL is a universe open to creatives and pioneers from all over the world, aimed at enthusiasts curious to explore a new expression of native varieties with a great history. Last June 2022, DUBL became the first Italian Metodo Classico to be B Corp & Equalitas certified

The Dubl project was born in 2004 from an idea of Feudi di San Gregorio: to combine the personality of Irpinia's traditional grape varieties, Greco, Aglianico and Falanghina, with the technique of bottle sparkling.

To ensure that the result would not be a mere exercise in oenological technique, but an original interpretation of a unique territory, Feudi sought a consultant who was not only a master of the technique, but who knew how to use it to transfer all the qualities of the vine and the territory to the wine.

Thus was born the collaboration with Anselme Selosse, a well-known winemaker from Avize (Champagne), famous for his ability to read the identity of the vineyards, and with it the Dubl project, i.e. the perfect synthesis between technique and the uniqueness of the terroir.
