Description
Still red, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG, 14.5% vol, produced by Fantini. Vintage 2016. A Riserva wine that expresses the power and elegance of Montepulciano, aged for 24 months in French and American barriques. The vineyards are located in Ortona (CH). The grapes, harvested in small crates, are transported to the winery for destemming and double manual selection of the individual berries, soft pressing, and maceration-fermentation for 25 days. Malolactic fermentation. Intense and persistent aroma, spicy (tobacco and woody notes) with hints of licorice, fruity (ripe fruit and spirits), tending towards ethereal. Garnet red color. Full-bodied, soft, balanced, intense, and persistent. Ready to drink now, but also tolerates long aging well.
