Color Intense and deep garnet red colour.
Perfume Fresh aromas of cranberries, currants and cherries combine with delicate notes of tobacco and chocolate.
Taste Soft, velvety tannins. Its fresh and spicy structure, youthful elegance and charm combined with mineral and stimulating persistence convince on the palate.
History The Renaissance Vigna 'Ringberg Castle', built by the Habsburg dynasty in 1620, towers above Lake Kaltern and is surrounded by the undulating greenery of its rows of vines. A 'Vigna' is an additional geographical mention; the word describes a single vineyard strictly defined and cartographically limited.
Production method As of 2015, the ultra-modern fermentation cellar allows very gentle processing of the grapes, both of the berries alone and also whole bunches using gravity. The highly sensitive ginning machine and a cautious transport of the grapes by means of 'cuvons' running on rails allow the grapes to be handled very gently and preserve their high quality integrity. This "State of the Art" facility is, in its concept, at the forefront of fermentation cellars in South Tyrol, ranking among the most modern fermentation cellars in Italy for creating great red wines of excellence.

Story The Renaissance Vigna 'Ringberg Castle', built by the Habsburg dynasty in 1620, towers above Lake Kaltern and is surrounded by the undulating greenery of its rows of vines. A 'Vigna' is an additional geographical mention; the word describes a single vineyard strictly defined and cartographically limited.
Climate Altitude: 330-400 m. a.s.l.
Soil composition The estate, at times hilly and at times steep, lies on the ancient crossroads of three soil types: to the west, the vineyard is accompanied by the dolomitic rock of the Mendola, whose steep slopes are composed of 30,000 year old gravel from the Adige River. In the central and southern area, the largest areas are composed of very light limestone residue soils that guarantee aeration for the roots of the vines.
Production technique As of 2015, the ultra-modern fermentation cellar allows very gentle processing of the grapes, both of the berries alone and also whole bunches using gravity.
