| History | In 1957 Count Federico Bossi Fedrigotti, the father of the current owners of the historic estates, was the first to realise the great potential of Bordeaux grapes in Trentino and planted the noble vines on the Fojaneghe estate, on wide terraces overlooking the Adige River. In 1961 the eponymous wine was born, a revolutionary and unexpected proposal, still relevant today, fifty years after its birth. The recent addition in the blend of a small percentage of Teroldego, by Masi's technicians, underlines its Trentino character. |

Description
Elegantly structured on the palate, with a long, velvety finish, this is the label of excellence from the Trento Cantina dei Conti Bossi Fedrigotti. The first example of a Bordeaux blend in Italy, it was born in 1961 thanks to the happy intuition of Count Federico. Produced in the vineyard of the same name from Merlot, Cabernet and a small percentage of Teroldego, it identifies the nobility of the family throughout the world.

Federico Bossi was Fedrigotti, father of the current owners, to sense the need for a profound transformation. Thanks to him was abolished wholesale (in barrels and carboys) and ran bottling. It was he who created the first "Bordeaux blend" in Italy, obtained, that is, with the simultaneous vinification of Merlot and Cabernet grapes, the foundations of the great wines of Bordeaux. It was 1961. At the new wine, accompanied by a constant success, it was given the name of "Fojaneghe red", from the estate where he grew - and coltivano- the best grapes of two varieties.
The Company Counts Bossi Fedrigotti is now flanked by the experience of Masi Agricola. The recent partnership agreement provides support by Masi in terms of cutting-edge technology and international marketing network. Read more
