Still red Lagrein Riserva, produced by Kaltern Caldaro in Trentino-Alto Adige, 13.5% ABV, 100% Lagrein, 2022 vintage. A wine that expresses the elegance and power of Lagrein, a native Alto Adige grape, through careful vinification and lengthy aging. Red fermentation with 2 weeks of maceration at 28°C. Malolactic fermentation and 12 months of maturation in barriques (1/3 new), lightly filtered before bottling. Intense ruby red with purple highlights. Fine fruit on the nose, with hints of small red berries and pure chocolate. Concentrated and generous on the palate, with soft tannins and a very long finish.
