Description
Still white Bourgogne AOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Domaine Buisson-Charles in Burgundy, 100% Chardonnay, 2022 vintage. A wine that embodies the elegance and complexity of Burgundy Chardonnay, made with grapes from high-density vineyards. Today run by Catherine Buisson and her husband, Patrick Essa, the modest-sized Domaine Buisson-Charles—6.3 hectares—has been cultivating parcels of land located on the Meursault finage for several generations. Floral aromas on the nose, accompanied by herbaceous notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh and balanced.

The company cultivates Meursault and Meursault Premiers Crus on soils with very different climates, which allows to produce a complex mixture of cuvée, "vieilles-vignes" of Meursault and to isolate particular vintages such as Tessons in a village and Charmes, Cras, Bouches-Chères and Goutte d'Or in premiers crus. The very old vines - aged between 30 and 90 years - are naturally not very productive and allow to obtain, after the vinification and refinement, very concentrated wines destined to a long aging. A presumed choice that fixes the production of the company in the long run. Read more
