Radici Erranti

Radici Erranti is an idea born in the summer of 2020 thanks to the passion and friendship that binds a few professionals in the world of wine.

Giacomo, Stefano, Riccardo, and Eleonora, who have been working for several years in various leading roles for first-class wineries, have the goal of creating a company in which they can direct their knowledge and skills to create their own project.

In order to carry out their work, each of us makes continuous journeys both in Italy and abroad, allowing us to earn the nickname of wanderers.

The three hectares of vineyard, found and restored from a semi-abandonment of a few years, are instead our roots, the place that allows us to stop, breathe, and put into practice what we usually do for others.

We are four friends before being members, who by pure chance, despite being born in different places, all reside on the shores of Lake Garda.

The name Radici Erranti (Wandering Roots) is a perfect oxymoron, a rhetorical figure that juxtaposes our wandering around the world every day of the week with the desire to root our future in this place.

The very label of our first wine, the metodo ancestralerosato called StraVagantetermine, which also plays with words, (person who travels a lot, or bizarre person), depicts an old traveller who impersonates each one of us, while from the other side of the hill on which our vineyard lies, through binoculars, he scrutinises no longer the future road to travel, but the road travelled to get there.

Radici Erranti is therefore for us a point of arrival that conveys all our knowledge accumulated over years of work, but at the same time a starting point for a new journey that this time we would like our bottles to make.
