In 1981 the diplomat Baron Emanuele Scammacca del Murgo who was the Italian Ambassador at the Holy See, Bruxelles, Moscow and worked as the Assistant Secretary of the Estate of Foreign Affairs, decided to transform the ancient property of the family into a modern productive agricultural estate. In the following years, the sons Michele, Alessandro, Pietro, and Matteo joined him, supported by the brothers Filippo, Bernardo, Manfredi and Costantino
