Description
Still red wine from Tuscany, 14.5% ABV, produced by Villa Poggio Salvi. 100% Sangiovese Grosso, 2018 vintage. A Brunello di Montalcino born from the passion and expertise of a family that has been producing excellent wines since 1979. The company has 21 hectares of vineyards in Montalcino, all planted with Sangiovese Grosso clones. The optimal altitude, between 300 and 500 meters, the soil rich in marl, and the breeze from the Tyrrhenian Sea, maintain the ideal soil and microclimate for the vines. Harvested by hand in early October in crates. Pre-maceration at 12°C for 8 days and fermentation at 28°C in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks; cap punching down with an automatic piston system. Aged for 30 months in 30-hl Slavonian oak barrels. Bottle aging: at least 4 months. Harmonious and intense, with nuances of red fruit and spice. Complex and enveloping, with elegant tannins that ensure long aging.
