Description

What kind of wine it is

Christian Bergeret Bourgogne Chardonnay by Christian Bergeret is a still white wine that precisely expresses the characteristics of Chardonnay. In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow colour with golden highlights, hinting at a well-defined aromatic profile marked by floral notes. On the palate, it offers a fresh and balanced sip, characterised by a pleasant persistence. This wine is a faithful interpretation of the grape variety, maintaining a measured structure that ensures a smooth and satisfying drink.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Burgundy, produced on an estate of fourteen hectares divided among the communes of Beaune, Pommard, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay and Nolay. The vines, aged between twenty-five and thirty years, provide grapes with optimal balance, blending fruit maturity with pronounced acidity. The distinct territorial profile imparts a clear identity and an orderly flavour progression, fully reflecting the excellence of Burgundy.

How it is produced

The cellar process involves maturation in oak barrels for a period ranging from twelve to eighteen months. This extended rest allows for full aromatic development and defines the structure, while preserving the purity of the raw material. At the table, it pairs naturally with vegetarian dishes, cheeses, fish dishes and white meats. Served at a temperature between ten and twelve degrees, it shows solid ageing potential, allowing for cellar ageing estimated between five and ten years.
