Description
Still white wine from Chablis, Burgundy, France, 12.5% ABV, produced by Alain Geoffroy. 100% Chardonnay. 0.75 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Chablis Vieilles Vignes that celebrates the tradition of a historic winery founded in 1850. The nose immediately reveals maturity and freshness in a riot of flowers and fruit. Floral notes of menthol, acacia, and lemongrass blend with those of grapefruit, caramel, and freshly baked bread. Golden straw yellow in color with subtle greenish reflections. Bright, luminous, and clear. The palate is powerful with a pleasant and harmonious smoothness, perfectly supported by its frank yet unobtrusive liveliness. The long finish prolongs the pleasure with a pronounced minerality enhanced by a delicate hint of wood.
