Description
Still organic red wine from Sicily, 13.5% ABV, produced by Wiegner. Blend of 85% Nerello Mascalese and 15% Nerello Cappuccio, 2019 vintage. An Etna Rosso that tells the story of a unique territory, shaped by the volcano and the passion of the winemakers. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in oak vats. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months and in bottle for at least 12 months. Hints of fresh fruit, strawberry, and cherry, it has a very fresh and smooth finish on the nose. Intense ruby red color. Soft tannins balanced by a good astringency. Distinct hints of ripe red fruit and spices are surprising given the absolutely fresh aromas on the nose. A complex flavor that concludes with a long, smooth, and elegant finish.
