Description

The origins of the vine are unknown, but it was probably introduced by the Greeks in the Ionic regions. The name derives from the term in the local dialect 'niuru-maru' (black-purple) due to the fruit's characteristic black colour or maybe the grape skin's blackish purple colour.

These serve as a solid basis for a project that aims to enhance the Irpinian wine tradition through a contemporary technical interpretation.
