Description
A pas dosé sparkling wine from South Africa, 12.5% ABV, produced by Villiera Wine (Stellenbosch). 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Cap Classique Brut Natural Chardonnay that celebrates the South African sparkling wine tradition, with Chardonnay grapes grown in organic vineyards. Cousins Jeff and Simon Grier launched the family business Villiera Wines outside Stellenbosch in 1983 and undertook an extensive replanting of classic and local grape varieties. After a controlled second fermentation in the bottle to create the magical sparkle, an extended four-year lees contact period was allowed to ensure maximum development of this exceptional sparkling wine. A rich, creamy yeast aroma with a full, ripe, toasty flavor on the palate that finishes dry with a savory aftertaste.

| Harvest | Only Chardonnay grapes were used, sourced exclusively from our ecological vineyards. The healthy, slightly unripe grapes were harvested by hand and delivered in perfect condition to the winery. |
| Wine making | The whole bunches were carefully pressed. The cuvée underwent natural primary fermentation and natural malolactic fermentation, after which it evolved on the primary lees for a period of 6 months without the addition of additives. |
