Description
Still red wine from Emilia-Romagna, 14% ABV, produced by Umberto Cesari. A blend of Sangiovese Grosso (70%) and Merlot (30%) that expresses the soul of a region rich in history and passion. The Umberto Cesari winery, founded in 1964, was among the first to believe in the potential of this terroir. Fermentation for 15-20 days at a controlled temperature with subsequent malolactic fermentation in wooden barrels. Aged for 18 months in new 5.5 hl tonneaux. Intense, refined, and fruity aromas with notes of blackberry, delicate plum, and a prune finish. Deep red color tending towards purple. Full-bodied, with herbaceous tones, pleasantly tannic, elegant and refined with nuances of vanilla and walnut.
