Description

Still white Riserva, 14% ABV, produced by Cantina Tramin in Trentino Alto Adige. 100% Chardonnay, 2022 vintage. A wine that expresses the elegance of the Alpine terroir, with careful vinification and long aging. Manual harvest, with alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barriques. Aged for 11 months on the lees in barriques, then 22 months in stainless steel. Intense golden yellow. Delicate floral and citrus aromas, tropical fruit, chamomile, and mint with hints of almond and toasted hazelnut. Troy elegantly showcases its typically Alpine character; notes of ripe tropical fruit such as mango, banana, and galia melon are enhanced by a hint of hazelnut and supported by an incredible freshness and saline minerality; the finish is long and juicy with mineral tones.

In a time of hardship for Alto Adige’s wine producers, Christian Schrott, parish priest of Tramin and later Member of the Austrian Parliament, founded our cooperative in 1898 in order to protect the livelihood and future of the wine producers from this mountain area. Thanks to the strength of this union, Cantina Tramin has become one of Alto Adige’s most respected cooperatives and an example recognized all over the world.

Today, we are 160 families tending approximately 270 hectares of vineyards. We pride ourselves on the fact that each bottle is the quintessence of our philosophy of life and work: accuracy, commitment, trust and creativity.
