Description
What kind of wine it is
The T Cuvée Rosé from Cantina Tramin is a still dry rosé made from a blend of Lagrein, Merlot and Pinot Noir. An expression of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti area, this wine encapsulates the essence of Trentino-Alto Adige in a fresh and lively sip. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of strawberry and raspberry, enriched by notes of cranberry, violet and rosebud. On the palate, it boasts a vibrant acidity, making it ideal for pairing with seafood starters, shellfish and fresh cheeses.
Where it comes from
The vines grow in Trentino-Alto Adige at altitudes between 200 and 550 metres. The soil is characterised by a calcareous composition with clay and gravel, elements that give the wine structure and a marked precision of flavour. The local microclimate is defined by a significant temperature range: Mediterranean daytime warmth meets the night-time chill brought by Alpine winds. This synergy encourages the development of clear fruity aromas, enhancing the innate elegance of the Lagrein, Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes.
How it is produced
Vinification involves a brief contact with the skins, necessary to achieve the delicate salmon hue and capture the subtlest aromatic essences. This is followed by a gentle pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature. Both fermentation and subsequent maturation take place in steel tanks, a technical choice aimed at preserving the integrity and fragrance of the fruit, ensuring a dynamic and refreshing drink.
History and Curiosities
Born from the experience of Cantina Tramin, founded in 1898, the T Cuvée Rosé 2024 expresses the essence of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT. Under the guidance of oenologist Willi Stürz, the grapes ripen at altitudes between 200 and 550 metres, benefiting from warm days and cool mountain breezes at night that enhance their aromatic profile. The calcareous soils, rich in clay and gravel, give the wine structure, while gentle pressing and fermentation in steel ensure a stimulating freshness, offering a fruity and always lively glass.
