Description
Still red wine from Alto Adige DOC, 14% ABV, produced by Cantina Terlano. 100% Lagrein, 2022 vintage. A wine that embodies the excellence of Alto Adige viticulture, with a history dating back to 1893. The grapes are selected and harvested by hand, then fermented slowly in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Aged for 18 months in barriques, a third of which are new, and blended three months before bottling. The bouquet of this Lagrein selection is immediately intense and rich in nuances, with a hint of licorice, coffee beans, vanilla pods, cloves, and black tea. The aroma is aromatic yet fruity, with hints of morello cherry and blueberry. The taste profile is harmonious, with decidedly compact, concentrated and varied aromas, characterised not only by a fruity flavour, but also by spicy aromas and a light sweet note of dark chocolate, enhanced by very refined tannins.
