Description

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Rialzi, produced by Tenuta Perano - Frescobaldi, 14.5% ABV, 100% Sangiovese. 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Chianti Classico made in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Gaiole, from vineyards located 500 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with maceration on the skins and gentle pumping over. Aged for 36 months, 24 of which in barrique. On the nose, fruit and spice dominate: currant, blueberry, and black pepper. These then give way to tertiary notes of toast, coffee bean, and tobacco. Ruby red in color, intense yet clear, with subtle garnet nuances. On the palate, its richness and depth stand out, perfectly balanced by the characteristic elegance of a Sangiovese at these altitudes.

From this winery
The Perano estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico in Gaiole and enjoys exceptional climate and soil. The vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level, well above the altitude common for red variety grapes, especially Sangiovese with its late maturation phase.

Tenuta Perano is a unique estate at an altitude of 500 metres, nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico. A natural amphitheatre, with southwest exposure, ideal for capturing heat and light. Steep slopes and stony soils characterise this particular landscape, creating healthy air movement and ideal terroir for Sangiovese. A magical land that expresses an elegant vibration and an intense note of fruit through its fine wines
