Description

Organic still white wine from the Uco Valley, Argentina, 12.5% ABV, produced by Masi Agricola. Blend of 60% Pinot Grigio and Torrontés. 0.75 L bottle, 2025 vintage. A wine born from Masi's passion for quality wines, masterfully interpreting Argentine grapes. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 950-1050 m above sea level in the Tupungato Valley. The Pinot Grigio is harvested at the end of February in the morning when the air temperature does not exceed 20°C. The grapes are pressed and the must is chilled to 5°C. After 20 hours of decantation, the racked must is inoculated with selected yeast. Vinification takes place in stainless steel at a temperature between 15 and 17°C with micro-oxygenation. Torrontés, a later-ripening variety, is destemmed and chilled to 5°C, allowing for a 20-hour cold maceration. Fermentation then continues at a temperature between 15 and 17°C with micro-oxygenation. The nose is striking for its complex aromas, almost reminiscent of a sweet wine. Pale straw yellow in color with green highlights, transparent at the rim. On the palate, it is characterized by a very fresh citrus note that pleasantly complements hints of exotic fruit. The long finish is once again dominated by citrus.

Masi is a leading producer of Amarone and has always interpreted the values of the Venetian regions with passion. Its history begins in 1772, the date of the Boscaini family's first harvest in the prized vineyards of ‘Vaio dei Masi’, a valley in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Since then, Masi has expanded, little-by-little, with successive purchases in the best historical production areas of the Venetian regions.

Masi produces first-class wines primarily from native grape varieties, using traditional methods that embody sustainability and continuous technological innovation. With more than two hundred and fifty vintages behind it, Masi has been owned since its inception by the Boscaini family, which today runs the company with the sixth, seventh and eighth generations.

Origin Vineyards La Arboleda in Mendoza, in the west of Argentina, historically renowned for wine production. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 950 050 m asl in the Tupungato valley.
Climate Winter with favourable temperatures for the plant to rest. In spring, budding was generous and uniform, thanks to adequate rainfall and optimal temperatures. Summer saw average temperatures, with typical cool nights in the Cordillera. Beneficial rains at the end of the season slightly delayed the ripening of the grapes and favoured a good balance between phenolic and sugar ripening.
Soil composition The soil is sandy, loamy-loamy, with the presence of stones, good organic and mineral content.
Harvest The harvest began in the second week of February with the Pinot Grigio grapes. The Torrontés was harvested in late March-early April.
Fermentation temperature 15 7 °C
