Description
What type of wine it is
Marguet's Champagne 1er Cru Yuman Brut Nature is an elegant and taut Traditional Method sparkling wine, a pure expression of its terroir. Crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes, this wine falls under the prestigious Champagne Premier Cru appellation. It stands out for its crystalline and vibrant profile, with no sugar dosage (Brut Nature), which enhances its authenticity. Ideal for those seeking a wine of great finesse, capable of combining freshness, measured structure and a deeply saline persistence. Marguet's artisanal approach is reflected in every sip.
Where it comes from
This Champagne is born in the heart of the region, specifically in the Villeneuve-Renneville area. The vineyards, with an average age of around 40 years, are rooted in predominantly limestone and chalky soil, enriched by surface layers of silt and clay. The cool continental climate of the Montagne de Reims plays a crucial role, delaying ripening and giving the grapes a vibrant freshness. These unique and extreme pedoclimatic conditions give the wine its unmistakable mineral tension and delicate citrus notes.
How it is produced
Production follows artisanal and organic principles, starting with hand harvesting. Vinification and fermentation take place in wood, guided exclusively by indigenous yeasts. The wine is made according to the Traditional Method, with a minimum of 18 months ageing on the lees after tirage. This phase gives the wine a very fine bubble and remarkable aromatic complexity. Finally, the wine is presented in its purest form, without any final dosage, enhancing its authentic character and stylistic precision.
