Description
The Excellence of the Traditional Method
Krug Champagne Grande Cuvee Brut by Krug is a Traditional Method sparkling wine that represents the pinnacle of the art of blending. This wine is produced using Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier grapes from the famous French region, boasting the prestigious Champagne appellation. The organoleptic profile reveals itself as rich and harmonious, characterised by vibrant notes of mandarin, candied citrus, beeswax, and toasted nuances, with an elegant and slightly bitter finish. The Champagne boasts a structured and complex style, offering extraordinary depth of flavour and excellent potential for evolution over time.
The Art of Craftsmanship
The production process strictly follows the dictates of the Traditional Method, requiring years of meticulous craftsmanship. The creation is based on a complex blend of numerous base wines from various past vintages, enriched by a significant proportion of reserve wines carefully stored in the winery's vast library. This elaborate and patient technique allows for unparalleled concentration, complexity, and roundness. After the secondary fermentation in the bottle, the wine undergoes a very long ageing process in contact with the lees, developing its deep toasted aromas before the final dosage.
