Description
A 2015 Barolo DOCG, produced by Gillardi, a winery with a history tied to Piedmont and Provence. 100% Nebbiolo. 0.75L bottle. Aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for at least 3 years. A Barolo that expresses the elegance and complexity of Nebbiolo, with an aging process that enhances its characteristics. The nose and palate are seduced by a basket of wonderfully ripe red fruit. This sensation guides our senses throughout the tasting with powerful notes of raspberry, cherry, and strawberry.

The Italy-France axis is part of the history of the Gillardis: Giovanni Battista emigrated from Piedmont to Provence towards the end of 1890. Here he began a wine trade, but his great attachment to the land of origin brought him back to the Langhe, where he began to produce sweet grapes.
The turning point in 1923 with the purchase of Cascina Corsaletto. Here his son Giacomo continued the study work on a magical territory for land, exposure and position.
Only in 1980 Giovanni Battista, son of Giacomo, with the young Giacolino, oenologist at the Alba school, began the production in the bottle.
Our modus operandi has always been based on respect for the surrounding environment: organic management of the vineyards, with seasonal green manures, natural fertilizers, exclusively mechanical weeding and minimal use of copper and derivatives, for absolute respect for biodiversity. Read more
