Description
This wine is the fruit of a selection of grapes from vineyards planted around our winery, all located in the commune of La Morra. The particularity of these soils, of relatively young origin compared to the rest of the Barolo area, gives wines with a remarkable readiness and gentleness right from the first years of ageing.

In 1961, Paolo Colla moved to La Morra, realising his lifelong dream of producing Barolo. In 1972, Gianni Gagliardo married Paolo's only daughter and soon began working with him.
The bottling of the estate's wines went from amateur to professional in 1974, and since then it has been a continuous evolution. In the 2000s, the new generation gradually came into play. Today, Stefano, Alberto and Paolo work alongside their father in the management and development of the company's projects. Read more

| Climate | The two plots used for Barolo in the commune of La Morra are located close together, on the same hillside. However, they are very different. One is a west-facing plateau, very open and exposed, almost hump-backed. This allows a lot of energy to accumulate on the grapes and wines. The second parcel consists of a south-facing amphitheatre and a hump. It is this second parcel that gives the elegant side of the blend. Translated with DeepL.com (free version) |
