Description
Nero d'Avola is the expression of a particular grape variety indigenous to Sicily. It was for centuries of fundamental importance in the production of many Sicilian wines, however, its use as a blending wine prevailed. And it was only from the 1970s onwards that serious experimentation on this vine finally began, in order to study it and valorise it. Today, this wine is defined as the prince of Sicilian grape varieties.
