Description

What kind of wine it is

Champagne Les Terres Fines Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut by Dhondt Grellet is produced using the Traditional Method to enhance the pure expression of Chardonnay grapes. The glass, with its bright golden yellow colour, is enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, clear aromas of exotic fruit, banana, pear and ripe citrus stand out. On the palate, it reveals a refreshing profile, characterised by pronounced minerality and a velvety creaminess. It is perfect for accompanying refined aperitifs, shellfish, lean fish and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This sparkling wine originates in the Côte des Blancs, from vineyards located in the Premier Cru classified village of Cuis, with plots extending towards Oger. The name comes from the Les Terres Fines parcel, a single vineyard characterised by old vines that give the sip a precise varietal expression. In this area, the soil composition favours a natural and profound minerality. Dhondt Grellet manages these plots following organic and sustainable farming practices, working in full harmony with the environment.

How it is produced

Production follows the Traditional Method, with secondary fermentation in the bottle and careful ageing on the lees. The process involves a skilful blend of base wines and a perpetual reserve wine, a technique that enriches the bouquet while ensuring consistent quality and structural complexity. At disgorgement, the winery chooses to maintain a minimal dosage, defining the Extra Brut style. The result is a glass with a clean and dry sip, in perfect balance between softness and aromatic tension.
