Description
Still white wine from Etna, Sicily, 12.5% ABV, produced by Cottanera. 100% Carricante blend. 0.75L bottle, 2023 vintage. An Etna Bianco that expresses the power of the volcano through the purity of Carricante, a native grape variety that finds its ideal habitat on Etna. Grape cultivation is a tradition in Etna's black soil. This age-old legacy has been embraced by Guglielmo and Enzo Cambria with Cottanera, an entrepreneurial project dedicated to excellence. On the nose, it presents itself with rare finesse, dense with aromas of white melon, peach, geranium, and a hint of minerality. With oxygen, it is enriched with subtle hints of wood that complement it. Straw yellow in color. On the palate, it also lives up to its olfactory promises: it is round, fresh, soft but at the same time sharp with a perfect acid-mineral balance, a substantial and long structure, and a light, pleasant, slightly bitter trail that gives it an extra boost.
