Description
Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs, classic method, produced by Coessens Champagne in the Champagne region. 12% ABV, 100% Pinot Noir. 0.75L bottle. A Blanc de Noirs that expresses the elegance of the Champagne terroir, with particular attention to the purity of the fruit. My family has owned vineyards in Ville-sur-Arce for five generations, so it was only natural for me to take over the family business. In 2006, I decided to start my own Champagne house: Champagne Coessens. A refined floral bouquet (magnolia and bindweed, almost like a Chardonnay), a highly expressive chalkiness, and hints of small berries (white currant). A very subtle palate impact, with CO2 rising to the taste buds without sculpting their harshness, it is impalpable in volume, fresh enough to allow all the minerality to emerge, for an extraordinarily clean and elegant finish.
