Description
Still red wine from Sardinia, 12.5% ABV, produced by Cherchi Giovanni, 2024 vintage. 100% Cannonau, in a 0.75L bottle. A wine born from the passion of Giovanni Cherchi, who has been producing typical Usini wines since 1970. The grapes are destemmed and pressed, and fermentation on the skins lasts 8-10 days at 25-28°C. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously in the fall or spring following the harvest. Aged partly in stainless steel and partly in wooden barrels for approximately 6 months. Bottled with very light clarification and filtration. Medium intensity and persistence, a broad and complex bouquet with hints of ripe fruit, jam, and blackberry, with more delicate notes of quince and plum. Ruby red with a purplish edge, very clear. On the palate, it is dry and savory, well-structured, full-bodied, and with a good depth of flavor. Balanced acidity and a light tannic sensation are evident. Good persistence on the palate and nose, with a pleasant finish.
