Description

What kind of wine it is

The Grand Cru Champagne by Caze Thibaut is a Blanc de Blancs that enhances the natural purity of Chardonnay. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour with golden highlights, enriched by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet combines elegant floral notes with citrus hints, leading to a dry palate characterised by a pronounced mineral freshness. This pas dosé stands out for its long and savoury finish, making it ideal for accompanying delicate starters, white fish dishes and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This wine originates from the village of Cramant, located in the heart of the Champagne region, in an area renowned and classified as Grand Cru. The unique features of this terroir favour the cultivation of Chardonnay, ensuring grapes of extraordinary finesse. The essence of this exceptional soil is reflected in the glass, imparting a profound savouriness and a distinct territorial identity. The strong connection with its place of origin also guarantees a remarkable ageing potential in the bottle, up to ten years.

How it is produced

The Caze Thibaut winery adopts an organic and sustainable approach in managing the vineyards dedicated to this production. Vinification strictly follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with a slow secondary fermentation in the bottle that gives the wine its elegant effervescence. The decision not to add sugars defines a zero dosage profile, essential for preserving the integrity of the fruit and the vibrant minerality. To fully appreciate the complexity and balance of this label, an optimal serving temperature between 6 and 8 degrees is recommended.

Tradition is long and history is strong.

They deserve to be told. Modeled over the centuries by 10 generations of winemakers, Maison Cazé-Thibaut has seen the birth of men and women, all devoted to their land and their profession in the beautiful valley of the Marne.

Roger Cazé was the first to market bottles of Champagne. Fine winemaker, his fame was such that he practiced for the surrounding villages of winemakers and Champagne Cazé he founded in 1953.

In the Cazé house, the works succeed one another, complement each other but never contradict each other. Today, Fabien continues this work of passion to create precise and elegant wines in which the notion of terroir is obviously essential.
