Description
Still red from Tuscany, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 15% ABV, produced by Casanova di Neri. 100% Sangiovese, 2019 vintage. A Brunello born from the passion of the Neri family, who have been producing high-quality wines in Montalcino since 1971. Manual harvest in the first and second weeks of October. Manual selection of the grapes before and after destemming. Spontaneous fermentation follows without the use of added yeasts and maceration supported by frequent punching down. The entire process takes place in conical wooden vats at a controlled temperature for 32 days. Aged in barrels for 36 months and in bottle for 24 months. On the nose, it presents the usual graphite notes followed by young, dark red fruits, chocolate, and licorice. A brilliant ruby red color previews its complexity. On the palate, the attack is immense, both broad and dense. The result is a tactile sensation that overwhelms the palate, sensual and rich, continuing with an incredible finish featuring broad, perfectly polished tannins. A wine that perfectly expresses the character of Sangiovese and its terroir, perfect with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
