Description
What type of wine it is
Bérèche's Champagne Grand Cru Campania Remensis Rosé Extra Brut is produced following the rigorous Traditional Method. On the nose, it reveals crisp aromas of raspberry, peach, and orange zest. On the palate, the Champagne is distinguished by a vertical profile and a marked tension, typical of the Extra Brut dosage. The fruity heart interacts with a chalky texture, lending vivacity to the palate and leading towards a bright, complex, and very persistent finish.
Where it comes from
This Champagne originates between the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley. The vines, over forty years old, grow on soils composed of light silt and deep sand, giving the wine a vibrant tension and a distinct mineral note. Created by Bérèche, a historic winery founded in 1847, this wine boasts a limited production aimed at preserving the identity of the terroir, with a quality standard widely recognised by its 92 Vinous points.
How it is produced
The winemaking process begins with fermentation in barrels, essential for ensuring a solid structure and perfect aromatic integration. The wine then undergoes a meticulous ageing on the lees for thirty-six months, which enriches the palate with dynamism and volume. This energetic drinkability, sustained by the balance between the fruit flesh and sapidity, ensures a long persistence that is perfect when paired with structured courses.
History and curiosities
Heir to the Bérèche tradition, established in 1847, this 2022 Rosé Champagne Extra Brut expresses all the authenticity of the terroir. From historic forty-year-old vines, rooted in fine silt and deep sand soils, an exclusive release of 6,700 bottles comes to life. Awarded 92 points by Vinous, this oenological gem offers a chalky and vibrant texture, confirming the unmistakable rigour of the historic winery.

Every action has been adequately thought out. Of course our land is plowed and we also use weed control to limit disease. This vegetation cover avoids herbicides, insecticides and anti-rots. Everything begins with the soil. The fertilization is organic. We feed wildlife which in turn feeds flora and thus the soil is working. As a result the House Bérêche has one of the lowest treatment frequency index in the Champagne region. It is also among the first to be certified High Environmental Quality (level 3). Read more
