Julius Treis

90% of our vineyards are located in steep and steeply sloping areas. We cultivate our vineyards in harmony with nature, yet we are at its mercy without protection. Every year we are exposed to the vagaries of time to harvest ripe and healthy grapes. Through manual harvesting selected in several stages we harvest the grapes at the ideal degree of ripeness.

The Mullay-Hofberg is our flagship vineyard, where our best wines grow every year. Countless small terraces and dry-stone walls; a steep slope with an altitude difference of over 150 metres; vines over 50 years old with real roots; south-south-east orientation; blue slate soil and minimal yields.
